Deuteronomy 5:4-6

4 Face-to-face the Lord spoke with you at the mountain from the middle of the fire. 5 At that time I was standing between the Lord and you to relate to you the word of the Lord, because you were afraid of the fire and you did not go up on the mountain.

Then the Lord said:

6 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt, where you were slaves.[a]
